General Guidance on choosing the right storage solution for your needs

Flammable liquids and solvents used in industry and laboratories and schools (such as inks, cleaning liquids and paints) give off Flammable fumes which may ignite or explode. If fire strikes, no matter if a liquid is classified as “extremely flammable”, “highly flammable” or "flammable”

The result is the same ....

fire damaged laboratory Our aim : to minimize the risks of fire by storing Flammable products in special cabinets, certified and in compliance with the European Norm EN 14470-1, granting the protection and safety in each and every laboratory. Laboratories destined to the use of flammable, chemical and gas substances, must be supplied with safety cabinets for the differentiated storage of the above mentioned substances.

Each product has its own cabinet, NEVER store chemical products inside cabinets for flammable products and vice versa, our KEMFIRE range is special combined cabinet with compartments for both types

Flammable Storage and what you should look for in a cabinet

  • TÜV Certification in compliance with the European Norm EN 14470-1 for the storage of flammable products
  • The particular fire resistance of the cabinet avoids that the flammable products stored inside the cabinet can provoke an explosion or a bigger and uncontrollable fire
  • Type 90 offers the maximum protections with a minimum of 90 minutes fire rating, allowing enough time for safe evacuation of the building and providing firefighters with enough time to extinguish the fire
  • option to supply the cabinet with fan and filtration if the flash point of the stored substance is lower than 100 deg C

Safe Storage of Chemicals and Acids

Option 1 - Choosing a cabinet with a filter and fan system

  • Any Toxic fumes and vapours are filtered and aspirated
  • Product certification for each model: EN 61010-1 and EN 60335-1 and EN 60335-2-80
  • Supplied with electronic device CUNCTATOR® which alerts the user when it’s time to change the filter cell
  • Pallettised base for the easy movement of the cabinet during installation

Option 2 - Choosing a cabinet without a filter and fan system

  • Any Toxic fumes are naturaly ventilated, therefore not forced through a filter extraction system
  • Option to supply the cabinet with a filtration and aspiration KIT
  • Pallettised base for the easy movement of the cabinet during installation
