Underbench Furniture InterFocus offers a wide range of high quality underbench furniture for the discerning laboratory. This may be purchased as part of a complete installation package or as individual items. We also manufacture to Architects and Clients specifications.
Carcasses The carcass is manufactured entirely from 20mm White Melamine faced MDF, including the top and back panels. All panels are screwed together to give a solid and robust unit. The carcass sits on a separate Grey plinth of 140mm. Plastic glides are used to facilitate easy relocation when required. The units may be used to support worktops without the use of a steel frame system, in which case the plinth size is increased to 180mm to give an overall bench height of 910mm. If a steel frame system is used the units are totally free standing and removable.
Drawers All drawer units use a steel sided drawer box with 20mm Melamine faced MDF for both the drawer base and back. Bottom mounted roller runners, with self closure feature are incorporated to provide a strong and easy glide drawer, that will stand up to the rigors of the laboratory environment.
Cupboard Units All cupboards have the solid carcass as detailed above, and as standard have a single adjustable shelf. Heavy duty 135 degree hinges are used as standard.
Handles The standard InterFocus long ‘D’ Handle is 290mm long in standard form, and enables ease of use when opening doors and drawers. Available either in Anodised Aluminium or in various colours ( Colour choice is subject to quantity ).
Door & Drawer Fronts The standard InterFocus Units utilise a vertically postformed door and drawer front, which gives smooth contours and is visually pleasing and easy to clean. Manufactured in Grey or White Laminate faced Chipboard, this complements the white carcass and grey plinth. This pleasing silver grey colour will coordinate with most decor schemes and gives a clinical look without being too stark. In addition to the vertically postformed door and drawer fronts we offer a wide range of coloured fronts manufactured in Melamine faced MDF with a 3mm PVC edging. We also manufacture to Architects and Clients specification. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements in detail. The InterFocus ‘HILUX’ range features the same sturdy carcass as the standard unit but incorporates ‘TRESPA’ door and drawer fronts. These not only give a very pleasing appearance, but have the same qualities and chemical resistance as TRESPA worksurfaces.
