Food Technology Classroom Installation at Cromer Academy
Project Overview
Cromer Academy, a respected secondary school in Norfolk and a proud member of the Inspiration Trust, approached us seeking a complete turnkey solution for a new food technology classroom. The academy required a fully equipped learning space, designed to inspire students and support the development of essential food technology skills.
Our Approach
From initial consultation to final handover, we managed the entire project, ensuring a seamless process for the school. The scope included minor building works, installation of structural steelwork, and full classroom fit-out – all tailored to the academy’s unique requirements.
We liaised with the relevant authorities to obtain building control approval before commencing the project, ensuring full compliance with regulations.
Classroom Fit-Out
Our team designed and installed a complete range of appliances, white goods, and bespoke furnishings to create a modern and functional food technology environment. All furniture was manufactured in-house at InterFocus, allowing us to tailor each element to the specific dimensions and requirements of the space.
The worktops were constructed from Velstone solid surface, an inherently antibacterial material that is highly durable and ideal for food preparation areas. This choice ensures a safe and hygienic learning environment while providing robust surfaces that stand up to daily use.
Results and Outcomes
The entire project was delivered on time and within budget, with a four-week turnaround that minimised disruption to the academy’s daily operations. Our collaborative approach ensured Cromer Academy’s specific requirements were fully met, delivering a high-quality, inspiring learning space for students.
Cromer Academy, as part of the Inspiration Trust, is dedicated to providing exceptional education for young people in East Anglia. By investing in state-of-the-art facilities like this food technology classroom, they continue to nurture a progressive and engaging learning environment across all subjects.
