Stainless Steel Sinks
Consider carefully the sink areas of your laboratory. There are three types of sinks suitable for laboratory use. All are manufactured in 316 grade Stainless Steel.
The complete top with integral bowl
This unique InterFocus design is a complete Stainless Steel worktop complete with a number of configurations of integral bowls, in various sizes. Manufactured in 316 grade stainless steel they incorporate an anti-drip edge to contain spillage, and are particularly suitable for Radio Active areas, or where electrophoresis apparatus is in use.
The area to the side of the bowl, may be manufactured either with a flat surface, gently sloping to the bowl, or with traditional raised drainage runners.
Additionally we are able to incorporate a wash hand basin, which is of particular interest where space is limited. An emergency shower may also be included (contact us for taps for these items)
A wide range of configurations and bowl sizes are available.
We use the BROEN range of taps and service fittings as standard , although we are able to supply alternatives if specified.
Inset Stainless Steel Sinks and Bowls
Inset stainless steel sinks and bowls are available either with an integral drainer, or as individual bowls. These are set into the worksurface and have a slightly raised lip.
Taps may be set into the stainless steel top or set into the worksurface in the case of individual bowls. Alternatively bowls may be supplied with a flat flange for fixing beneath the worksurface. These are suited to Trespa worktops but are not recommended for use with laminate. In this instance the hole is machined in the work surface and the bowl mounted beneath with special fixing clips. This particular type enables drainage grooves to be machined into the work surface. Particularly suitable where areas need to be sluiced down.
