A great deal of consideration should be given to the shelving requirement. This will depend not only on the type of items to be stored on the shelves, but also in the equipment which is in use on the worksuface.There are basically three types of shelving systems, each of which may be adjusted to suit individual clients specific needs.
Adjustable Spur System This system is the most flexible of all shelving systems and allows for maximum loadings and adjustment, both at the time of installation and at future dates. This system allows for both wall mounted shelves and for both peninsular and island benches. The wall supports and brackets come in a variety of sizes. In the case of island and peninsular requirements this system allows both for as many shelves as required and also provides a fixing for electrical and data trunking.
Shelves are manufactured from high pressure laminate with a postformed front edge to give a hard wearing and durable surface. The postformed edge is far superior to normal edged shelving, which has a tendency to lose its edging after a time. All shelves are provided with a 60mm steel upstand and shaped ends manufactured from steel with an tough epoxy powder coated finish.
Semi Fixed Spur Shelving System This type of semi fixed shelving system allows for Mechanical & Electrical services to be incorporated in the trunking system. There are many variations of reagent shelving, below are two particular examples. One is a very simple fixed system, where as the other is a fixed system, with a separate shelving system over which allows for some flexibility in being able to adjust shelves.
